SELF-LEADERSHIP
This is an advanced programme designed to sensitise learners to the concept of self-leadership and its importance. They learn to continuously discover what they want to do (motives, passion and values), what they can do (their present capabilities) and what they have to do (to sustain and develop). The participants can discover their motivations, passion and values that will govern their future. Goal setting and building the capability to achieve their goals is an important aspect of self-leadership. The context of the individuals determines the path for sustenance and development and therefore it is very important that individuals appreciate their own contexts and be responsible for their development plans.
LIFE PERSPECTIVES
Students’ attendance and attention of students who attend classes is a matter of concern today. There is a need in them to understand why they are learning what they are learning. The facilitator is expected to connect the learning with real world and help the student to comprehend the relevance of their learning to their contexts. An experiment conducted in Pegasus in collaboration with Centurion University, Orissa has revealed that the learners needed exposure to wider perspectives of life and the joy of small successes. They are happy to learn the methods of learning from failure and leveraging on the rest of the world to learn and succeed. This programme is a supplement to curriculum based education and has shown to improve learner engagement and productivity in terms of learning.
