Learning Immersion

Learning Immersion occurs when the learning settings and the associated learning experiences cater to all the natural learning means/modalities of a person and facilitate the presence of all the learning sources.

  • Three Learning Modalities: Heart (feeling), Mind (thinking) and Body (acting or experiencing)
  • Three Sources of Learning: Self, Others, and Nature or the Universe

These modalities/means of learning are part of complex, interrelated learning system within us. When any of these modalities are ignored, the quality of the learning declines. Most human designed learning experiences fail to accommodate/leverage the natural learning system. Corporate training ignores the natural learning system, generally appealing to only one or two of the learning modalities and completely ignores the concept of learning source.

The natural learning system functions best when the learner is completely immersed in the learning event. Our most powerful life experiences typically take place in a total immersion context, engaging all three of the modalities of learning and gathering information from all three sources.

At Pegasus, learner’s body, mind and heart are engaged to ensure learning immersion. Further, even the Human Spirit is tapped, both at the individual and collective levels, leading to remarkable behavioural changes and other results. The non-judgmental climate and the natural setting at Pegasus inspires a person to learn from self, others, and nature without inhibitions.

Pegasus offers a total immersion context where the learners engage deeply with their heart, mind, body and spirit and simultaneously learns from self, others and nature/universe.
